Working at Heights Training is a mandatory and essential element of your career in any industry that involves the erection of large structures or scaling structures for maintenance and repairs. In 2016/17, 137 fatal injuries were recorded. 25 fatalities were caused by falls from height, this statistic coming in second only to 31 fatalities caused by workers being struck by a moving vehicle.
Working at Heights Training Can Prevent Further Fatalities
The number of fatalities at work is decreasing year on year, we believe that this is due to stricter regulations regarding workplace training. The HSE set in place Regulations 5 and 6 (5)(b), state that all members of staff must competent in their ability to perform their duties (should a member of staff be in training, a competent member of staff must supervise at all times). At the Windhoist Training Centre, we provide a range of GWO and HSE approved Working at Height and Health and Safety Training courses. Ensuring your employees are compliant with health and safety regulations and also ensuring their own safety at work.
