The Global Wind Organisation is an association of Wind Turbine owners and manufacturers whose aim is to provide for a safer and more productive work environment. One of GWO’s goals is to develop common industry training and best practice standards for health and safety as a necessary and vital way forward to reduce risk for those working in the wind industry. As such, those seeking to work with a GWO members property must complete the GWO Basic Technical Training.
As one of the main turbine erection companies in the world, Windhoist have current and practical experience of working in conjunction with all wind turbine manufacturers. Through working in an operational environment with external partners, Windhoist are able to bring relevance and practical experience to the Basic Technical Training course.
Whilst the certificate is not mandatory across the industry, more and more clients are requesting candidates have the accreditation. It will therefore support those looking to enter the industry and demonstrates their dedication to personal development and commitment to operating in a safe and efficient manner.
Course takes place on a monthly basis but more courses can be made available on demand.
